Acupressure Shiatsu Therapy: Acupressure Shiatsu Therapy is an individualized treatment to help address imbalances (emotional or physical pain or illness) in the body stemming from blockages in the flow of energy. It is also a great treatment to help maintain health and wellness in the body. The client is fully clothed, and the practitioner will apply pressure to specific acupoints along meridians in the body. This therapy will help awaken your own body’s healing capabilities, and will focus on the whole person, not just one symptom. Shiatsu, which means finger pressure in Japanese, is acupuncture without the needles!

Mara received her Energy Medicine Practitioner (EMP) certificate in 2015 from the Rhys Thomas Institute of Energy Medicine. She has been a Usui Reiki Master since 2012. Though she started the journey for personal development, she now feels she is being led to work with others using her skills in both the Full Spectrum Energy and Reiki modalities. “I believe that our bodies are born with an innate knowledge of what is good for us and strive to be in balance. Somewhere along the way we stop listening to this innate knowledge and our bodies go out of balance. Energy medicine helps to bring the body back into balance. Once in balance, the body will heal itself.”
Reiki (Pronounced Ray-Key) is a form of light energy transfer in which the practitioner channels Universal light energy to help the client to relax and come into balance. Full Spectrum Energy is similar to Reiki in that energy is being channeled for the client; in addition to the energy crystal bowl music is also played during the session. The crystal bowls add an additional layer of clearing to the session, helping the mind to quiet and allow the body to come into resonance.
Both the Reiki and Fully Spectrum Energy modalities are performed with the client fully clothed lying on a massage table in a comfortable relaxed position. In both modalities the practitioner’s hands are lightly placed on or just above the client’s body to move energy thru the clients system to achieve relaxation and stress release to help bring the client back in to balance.
Wendi O’Neil, Reiki Master
Wendi is a mother of 3 who has spent the last 8 years dedicated to her children and family. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and 5 years of experience working in Special Education and child care. After discovering the holistic benefits of yoga and multiple healing modalities she felt called to the healing benefits of Reiki. Wendi is a Tibetan/Usui Reiki Master practitioner and a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals. Reiki is a healing technique in which the practitioner channels energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. Some of the benefits of Reiki include dissolving energy blocks while promoting the natural balance between mind, body and spirit; helps to relieve stress and tension; increases energy levels; clears the mind and improves focus; helps to accelerate self-healing and the release of toxins. Reiki is meant to compliment medical treatment and promote relaxation.
After 28 years in the computer industry, I was inexplicably drawn towards energy work. I didn’t even know what it was, but I knew it was what I needed to do. I made a decision to first go to massage school and learn physical anatomy and therapeutic touch. I found I loved massage, and as such, it took me 2 years before I enrolled in a 3 year energy healing program. I graduated as a Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner, and I spent 4 years at the school as an assistant teacher, teaching the Healer Training Program.
I provide a variety of different body work services, including Swedish massage, hot stone massage, Deep Tissue and Sports massage, trigger point therapy and Full Spectrum Energy Healing. A typical session can focus on any one of these modalities or incorporate a blend depending on what is indicated and the client’s preference. A 90 minute mind body spirit session will leave you with the feeling of coming home after a vacation away.
What are Energy Medicine and Full Spectrum Healing?
Energy Medicine is the art of healing at its deepest levels. The intent is to bring a client into internal harmony using the twelve levels of human consciousness as a road map. My goal is to support my clients in healing a condition as well as to awaken their passion for living.
At its core, Full Spectrum Healing has the understanding that the human body and energy field, the “aura,” are made up of twelve distinct levels of conscious awareness, where each one is a layer or level in the energy field. These correlate directly to a sound, color, and frequency that must all come into harmony if the body, emotions, mind and spirit are to be healthy. The human body and aura can be seen as a full rainbow spectrum of light, or as a full octave of music, or both. If any color or tone is dulled or removed from the spectrum, the result is a disharmony within the system. When the system is out of harmony, it is felt at the body level as pain, or at the emotional level as anxiety, stress, anger, depression, sadness, or will be felt as conflict in relationships. If held chronically, this dis-harmony creates dis-ease, and will over time drain the system of its vibrancy and health.
