These 1-hour nurturing sessions employ cognitive-behavioral and mind-body integrative techniques plus an individualized prescription of home practice. This work is aimed at action and doing with grace, not simply discussing.
Dr. Mary Wellman received her PhD from the University of Connecticut in 1980. She has been a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts since 1982 and in Rhode Island since 1985. In addition, she has been a professional educator for more than three decades, with 27 years as a college professor and psychological researcher. She was part of a hospital and medical team for stress reduction and weight management for four years.

Since these issues of stress and weight are typically long-standing, the recommended frequency of sessions is 6 to 12 sequential sessions, typically scheduled weekly.
