Class Descriptions

Level 1 Yoga teaches beginners and continuing beginners a variety of yoga postures, breathing techniques and introduces some yogic philosophy along with clear instruction and assistance to help you create a foundation for a safe, healthy practice.

Level 2 Yoga is a stronger intermediate class which offers more challenging and strengthening poses along with a refined deeper study of the practice. Previous yoga experience is required for this class.

Mixed Level and Mixed Tapas Blend Yoga offers some pranayama (breathing techniques) along with a variety of poses (asanas) with modifications offered for beginners and options for more advanced students.

Flow Yoga is a strong, challenging class that builds strength and flexibility while exploring the deeper aspects of the practice. Previous yoga experience required.

Gentle Yoga with Meditation: This gentle yoga class is great for all levels. It will include a different theme each week and special time for mediation. A perfect addition to add balance and peace into your life!

Yoga Nidra (Sanskrit for yoga sleep) is a powerful technique which creates an altered state of consciousness allowing the practitioner to enter the realm of subconscious and manifest effective and seemingly magical changes in their life…through this deep relaxation. Bring your favorite pillow, blanket. (Class is held the last Friday of each month)

Polarity Yoga: A clear mind, more vitality, a better overall feeling of balance and well-being are just the basis of what you’ll receive from polarity yoga. The postures help to relieve tension in the body, which is just another way to describe blocked energy. When the energy becomes unblocked, that is when life force can flow freely through the energetic systems to the body. It is not vigorous, difficult or precise, therefore anyone can perform these exercises and enjoy the benefits.

Kids Yoga (ages 6-11yrs) combines yoga poses, “story yoga”, songs and yoga games in a fun way to help them build confidence, self esteem, a greater ability to focus. Children will learn about themselves and the world around them in a positive, healthy way.

Belly Dance: Discover your grace and beauty through this timeless dance of the Middle East. Tone and shape your body, release stress and have fun too! Each session will culminate in a new beautiful dance from the movements you will learn.

Pilates Mat Class: Have fun while you sculpt and elongate your muscles for a stronger, more streamlined body. Enhance your mind/body connection while increasing flexibility and control from the inside out. All levels are welcome.

Pilates on the Ball: All the benefits of the Pilates mat class while incorporating a yoga ball for a whole new experience. All levels are welcome.  Please bring your own fitness ball. (45 – 55cm is preferred.)
