Bruce Thomas, LMT began his massage education at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in 1990. From there he went to Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in 1992 to study deep cross fiber friction in dealing with the effects of lupus. He further studied cross fiber work at Muscle Therapy Institute in Cambridge in 1994 to facilitate relief from joint related pain and also passed his first national certification in 1994. In 1995 he attended my first New England Regional Conference and began to study myofascial release, and structural integration with the likes of Bob King, Eric Dalton and Tom Myers. This was followed by the postural styles of Alexander technique and core integration.
At that point, he made a conscious decision to begin to study the great touch therapies of other cultures. That introduced him to Taoism and Chinese medicine the I-ching, meridian systems, shiatsu, tui na an mo, qi-gong, zheng gu and more. From there he became fascinated with Ayurveda, Thai yoga massage and the chakra system. Next came the subtle therapies of cranial sacral therapy and energy work. Bruce is always in search for more knowledge to better stimulate healing in his clients.
