"Mimi" Michelle Strzelewicz, E- RYT

“Mimi” Michelle Strzelewicz received her 200 RYT through YogaFit and has been registered with Yoga Alliance since 2006. She is also certified for Adult, Child and Infant CPR through the American Heart Association, a member of NAMASTA (North American Studio Alliance), a certified PiYo (a blend of Pilates & Yoga ~ Yogilates) Instructor and is currently studying to become a Yoga Therapist. Mimi continues to embrace her yoga studies. She has worked with many inspirational teachers who have transformed her life and teaching style, including Beth Shaw, Shiva Rea, Patricia Walden, Dr. Timothy McCall and many Master Instructors from YogaFit. Even though Mimi has her 200 RYT through YogaFit, she steps out of the YogaFit practice and enjoys all kinds of branches of yoga, such as Anasura, Integral, Bikram, Ashtanga, Prana Flow, Iyengar, Baron Baptiste, Kripalu, Meridian and Kirtan. Mimi enjoys expression of movement in all ways possible.
Mimi started her personal yoga practice in 2001 to ease anxiety and stress from her high-paced corporate job. The benefits of her yoga practice became endless from the physical, emotional and spiritual level.
In 2007, she decided to leave her corporate job of seventeen years, to focus more on her family, to become a full-time Yoga Instructor, and to share the unlimited benefits that yoga can bring to each person.
She believes that movement is life and the importance of “Taking Time to Take Care of Yourself”. Sharing this to all of her students brings great joy to her heart. Mimi opened her home- based studio, De-Stress with Yoga, in May of 2005. She also travels regularly to teach workshops and classes for the public, including the elderly, and mentally/physically challenged students. Yoga is for every BODY. Mimi’s youngest yoga student was 4 years of age, oldest student of 101 years of age and has taught students from all ages in between. She is very excited to share the passion of yoga to everyone who enters the door at State of Grace Yoga & Wellness Center.
